In 2017, one year after our charity was formed, we were able to raise $20,000 and install a new basketball hoop and court adjacent to the Mosaic Midtown Church in Midtown Detroit to give local kids a place to play basketball. As you can see from the pictures below, we are very excited to see kids playing at our court today!
In 2018, we raised $25,000 and installed our second basketball court at The Children’s Center for Autism Services in Detroit. Kids of all ages are already using it to play basketball and many other outside activities. Below are pictures of the site before and after the court’s completion. We’ve had the new court painted with some fun designs and games which are a big hit for the kids at the Center.
Most recently, after raising an additional $17,000 we installed a new court in 2020 at Marcus Garvey Academy, a public elementary school in southeast Detroit. Below are “before” and “after” photos of the site. We’ll add some new pictures shortly of the new court being used by kids at MGA.
This year we are working hard to raise $25,000 to install a court and hoop at the Living & Learning Enrichment Center for teens & adults who suffer from autism and related challenges.
